Initial Question: “I am not experiencing God or getting an answer when praying. What do I do?”
QQ: Why did you pray to God?
- So that he takes away something in me
- Check that he is real/exists
- So that he changes external circumstances
In principle, you are searching fellowship with the most perfect being. Only the Lord himself can draw us.
No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day. John 6:44
And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself." John 12:32
I and the Father are one." John 10:30
Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1 John 4:8
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. John 14:27
Question: How does that look practically? Gods peace i s a feeling or intuition or sense from the spirit beneath the feelings that are already there
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7
Question: I am willing but I still can’t experience the peace of the lord.
- You do not find the peace in the world (money etc)
- You do not find the peace in yourself (false emotions, toxic thoughts)
→ External Source: Look away onto Jesus
Example: Principle of looking unto your girlfriend/mum and feeling love because she loves you. A person that always spreads peace and chill vibes
looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2
For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility Ephesians 2:14

You can’t meet god out of your own willpower → difference between willpower and will. Example: You go a couple times to the gym through willpower, but it doesn’t last because the will is not engaged
Example: Operating Table and Waiver Signing. You can not tell the surgeon where to operate. Instead of trying to operate on yourself by willpower, you need to engage your will and sign the waiver. Call to action: This doesn’t need much willpower, it needs your will.
Prayer: I’m willing to let the Lord operate on me. I sign the contract that the lord can change things in my inward being and give him full consent even when i don’t know what he’s operating on.
